Yes, participation in this study is in principle voluntary. If you do not wish to participate in the study, you can simply close the window again. Furthermore, you can also terminate your participation at any time during the survey.
What data will be collected about you?
If you participate in this survey, the data you provide as part of the survey will be collected. If applicable, additional information about your computer hardware and software, such as the type of browser you use, the type of operating system, etc., will be collected. The use of cookies helps prevent respondents from completing the same survey multiple times in a row. This would reduce the scientific quality of the study. In principle, data collection is anonymous. In the case of a prize draw or sending of results, the e-mail address is collected separately from the survey data.
How do we use the information you provide?
The information you provide will be used exclusively for study purposes. The data will be treated as strictly confidential and will not be passed on to third parties. Your answers to the questions asked will be converted into figures in each case and then the results will be aggregated or presented in subgroups and anonymized. You or your person is not (!) identifiable in the results.
How long will the data be stored?
The anonymized data records are stored on the server of the survey tool provider for the duration of the project. Afterwards, the anonymized data remain with the respective researcher for further data analysis - in compliance with data protection regulations.
Handling of personal data for contacting (raffle, sending results, etc.)?
If contact data is requested at the end of the survey, this personal information is stored in a separate data record. Your previously provided information can therefore not be merged with your e-mail address or your person, for example. Your personal contact data will only be used to contact you in the event of a prize, to send you the results of the study, etc.
If you have won something in a raffle, the data associated with the raffle and the award will be stored by the researcher for a period of one year.
